What PITT Cooking makes
PITT Cooking builds gas cooking burners designed to be built directly into a countertop rather than mounted on a cooktop panel. Instead of a single appliance with a glass or stainless top, the system is a set of separate brass burners, each installed into its own cutout in the counter, so the finished surface between them is the countertop material itself, whether stone, composite, or another worktop. The burners are offered in different output sizes, from a smaller simmer burner to a high-output burner for boiling and searing, and a kitchen chooses how many to place and in what arrangement across the counter. Cast pan supports sit over each burner and lift off for cleaning. The approach turns the cooktop into a layout a designer arranges across the worktop rather than a fixed rectangular box. Burners set into the surface
The distinguishing idea is that there is no cooktop surface at all, only burners set into the counter. Because each brass burner installs into its own opening and the countertop runs right up to it, the surface a cook works on is the worktop material, which can be wiped clean without the seams and frame of a conventional cooktop. The burners are individually placed, so a kitchen can spread them out along a run or cluster them, and can mix output sizes to suit how the household cooks. The brass construction and cast pan supports carry the heat and lift away for cleaning. Because the burners sit directly in the stone, the layout is designed into the counter itself, which suits islands and open kitchens where the cooktop is meant to read as part of the surface rather than an appliance dropped into it.
