Samsung
Samsung builds a broad kitchen and laundry catalog around two ideas, customizable panel fronts that change a refrigerator's color and a touchscreen hub built into the door.
What Samsung makes
Samsung covers the full kitchen and the laundry room. Its refrigeration spans French-door, four-door Flex, and side-by-side models, including a customizable panel line whose door fronts swap between colors and finishes so the look can change without replacing the unit. Family Hub refrigerators add a touchscreen and interior cameras to the door for notes, media, and a view of the contents from a phone. On the cooking side, Samsung builds gas, electric, and induction ranges, several with a Flex Duo oven that splits into two independently controlled zones, along with cooktops and over-range microwaves. Dishwashers, wall ovens, and a large laundry catalog complete a suite that can be matched in one finish across a home. Connectivity through the SmartThings app ties the appliances together for remote control and monitoring.

The ideas behind it
Two engineering choices define the line. The customizable panel system lets a refrigerator's door fronts be removed and swapped for different colors and materials, and some layouts add or reconfigure modules over time, so one appliance can take on several looks across its life. The Family Hub builds a touchscreen and cameras into the refrigerator door, turning it into a place to see what is inside, leave notes, and run connected apps. Beyond those, SpaceMax insulation uses thinner but effective cabinet walls to add interior volume without growing the exterior, and the Flex Duo oven divides a single cavity into two zones so two dishes cook at different temperatures at once. Together they aim at flexibility, in looks, in space, and in control.
