True Residential
Built from a foodservice heritage, True Residential adapts the refrigeration used in restaurant kitchens for the home, keeping the heavy cooling hardware and adding color and finish choice.
What True Residential makes
True Residential builds refrigeration in the sizes a kitchen actually uses. The catalog runs from undercounter refrigerator and freezer drawers, beverage centers, and clear ice makers up to full-height refrigerator, freezer, and wine columns, plus glass-door units that show a stocked interior. Widths span 15, 24, and 30-inch options, in panel-ready form for cabinet integration or with the brand's own stainless and colored fronts. Color is a defining part of the line: units can be ordered in a wide palette with a choice of hardware finish, so the refrigeration reads as a designed piece rather than a stainless box. Wine columns hold separate zones for reds and whites with UV-protective glass. The company grew out of True Manufacturing, a long-running maker of commercial foodservice refrigeration, and that pedigree shows in how the residential units are built.

Why the cooling is different
The point of difference is that True Residential uses commercial-grade forced-air refrigeration rather than the lighter systems common in home units. A forced-air system moves cold air actively through the cabinet, so temperature recovers quickly after the door opens and stays even from top to bottom, which matters for produce and for wine held at a set point. The hardware follows the same logic: solid brass hinges rated for heavy use, heavy-gauge stainless interiors, and dual-pane low-emissivity glass on the display doors to hold temperature while showing the contents. The result is refrigeration engineered to the tolerances of a professional kitchen, then finished for a home. That combination of restaurant-grade cooling and residential finish is what sets the brand apart from standard built-ins.
